*KID’S CLUB– is a monthly ministry designed to rally our children and families around an activity or event in hopes of establishing friendships, strengthening the fellowship and just plain having fun as children of God. What a blessing for our kids to grow up knowing that the Christian life is full of fun and faith, laughter and love, joy and Jesus- no matter how old we are! If you have an activity you’d like to see take place or an event you’d like to help plan let us know! We’re hoping to have an annual schedule available soon.
*It’s Tribe Time-With spring training ready to start, baseball season is just around the corner. Don’t miss out on Christian Faith night, May 9th (Saturday) when the Tribe take on the Tigers. All fans receive a Cliff Lee Bobblehead. Concert (to be announced) will follow the game. What could be better except maybe Dollar Hot Dog Night on May 26th (Tuesday) when they challenge the defending American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays. Both games are only $9 each per person for Mezzanine tickets. If interested contact Honey Biondillo @ 216-4968597 to make reservations.
*PLAY BALL… Softball That Is! - We are checking for interest to participate in a Church Softball League this summer. The games will be played on Saturday afternoons and evenings in North Olmstead, at North Olmstead Park. There is a nominal registration fee for teams and participants that covers game balls, umpiring fees, field fees, and ASA membership. The first week of games begin May 2nd. The regular season will be 8 games with no games scheduled on Memorial Day or July 4th weekends. The season will conclude with a double elimination tournament. As this is a Co-Ed league, there is a minimum of (4) female players required on the field at all times. Batting order and substitution is at each team's discretion with 10 players playing the field. High school students entering their sophomore year and above are welcome to participate in this Adult Co/Ed League. *Camp Gideon- is our EFC-ER summer camp program offering opportunities for all ages. From parent/child camps, family camp, SPLASH camp and Challenge Camp to the more traditional Adventure Camp these programs offer a blend of fun and faith centered activities where each camper is valued, loved and will be challenged to seek a growing, lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. Located on 188 acres in the beautiful Ohio Valley just outside Carrollton, Camp Gideon has become a first-rate Christian camp, retreat and conference center. Once again, we will be offering special $50 “CAMPships” to anyone wishing to attend one of the sessions running from the first week of June through early August. (Check out the various options, costs and scheduled dates for the camp of your choice located on the bulletin board in the church fellowship room.)
*Vacation Bible School is being planned for the week of July 26th through the 30th from 9AM until 12PM each weekday. This is a wonderful way to grow our children in their faith as well share the message of life and love with families in our community. Our theme is Saddle Ridge Ranch and we're looking for all the cowboys, cowgirls and cowpokes we can rustle up to share in a great time of fun and faith. If you are interested in volunteering as a teacher, helper, assistant or to provide snacks, etc., please indicate so on your communication card or contact Tim Peacock or Angel Marshall. *A Baby Dedication- is being planned for Sunday, March 8th. This is a beautiful worship service designed to recognize and reaffirm God’s gift of life through creation and life-everlasting through Christ. A time of dedication is also a time for parents, friends and our church family to recommit to the cause of not only raising godly children, but growing up in our own faith to be all that God wants us to be.
